As a member of the Business Development team, you will support in developing the marketing and sales strategy of the agency, while working with some of our most valued clients, supporting team members and assisting with new business conversion.

If you’re a Business Development Executive looking to progress your career and have more than three years proven success in developing strong business growth strategies, preferably in agency roles, we’d love to hear from you!

Our Business Development Executive is responsible for supporting the Business Development team in driving and managing the agency’s new business activities and supporting the BDM in the development and growth of the agency’s sales and marketing strategy. 

The role is perfect for a highly organised, versatile, strategic and detail-oriented thinker with a proven track record in generating results and converting new business opportunities and developing smart marketing activities. If you are an eager self-starter who is energetic, persistent, creative, motivated to work in a fast-paced team environment and love the exciting pace of agency life, we are looking for you!

Specifically, you’ll need to address these essentials for the role:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a Business Development role, with 1+ years in an agency environment, either marketing, PR or communications  (preferable) 
  • Excellent communication skills, strategic ability, and creative thinking  
  • Strong manager of people and team player; able to work collaboratively and effectively with teams 
  • Strong client relationship builder; able to attract and win new clients 
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills 
  • An understanding of the Australian media & marketing landscape – both traditional and digital  
  • Strong contacts in the business world; networks to continually build on these 
  • Work proactively and in conjunction with other team members to identify opportunities to expand the sales pipeline and implement initiatives and engagements to increase sales revenues 
  • Self-motivated with a positive can-do attitude and a high-level of accountability  
  • Proven ability to work calmly and effectively in a fast paced, dynamic and deadline-driven environment 
  • The desire to work in a small business and play a role in shaping the culture and growth of an agency
