Overview

 Crime Stoppers Queensland Limited is a registered charity and community volunteer organisation that assists the general public to help make a difference in solving and preventing crime. Elevate was engaged by Crime Stoppers Queensland in December 2017 to manage their media relations for the Donna Steele murder case and subsequently handled the organisation’s media outreach for their Annual Results Celebration Day in February 2018. Crime Stoppers Queensland’s PR and communication program included:

Strategic media program including content creation and media relations

Management of media event

Program measurement and evaluation 

 

Elevate was successful in achieving widespread media coverage throughout the two campaigns, with the following achievements reached:

Obtained over 340 clippings during the two campaigns

Secured positive coverage in a number of media outlets across Queensland for the two campaigns including The Courier Mail, Brisbane Times, The Australian and AAP

Reached over 36,665,732 people through targeted media coverage (excluding broadcast reach)

Achieved over 131 minutes of air time over the two campaigns

Attendance secured from tier one local outlets for the media event at Crime Stoppers Queensland’s headquarters for the Annual Results Celebration Day – outlets include: Channel 7, Channel 9, Channel 10, AAP, The Courier Mail, Brisbane Times and 4BC A man has since been charged with murder over the death of Donna Steele

 

Using the team’s expert media knowledge, Elevate was able to successfully roll-out two campaigns that secured valuable media coverage in targeted outlets.
